Suresh Garimella is an Indian mechanical engineer and academic administrator.
Education:
Dr Garimella received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley,1989 and M.S. from The Ohio State University, Columbus, 1986 and a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 1985.
Career:
In 1990 he worked as an instructor Mechanical Engineering in University of California, Berkeley. From 1990 to 1999, he worked as an assistant professor and Cray – Research Associate professor in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. From Aug 1999 till present he has been working in Purdue University in several positions such as associate professor and professor of School of Mechanical Engineering, Associate Vice President for Engagement, Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships Emeritus and Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering. And currently he is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering department, University of Vermont and president, University of Vermont.
